Advisory on Recruitment Frauds

It has come to our attention that some candidates are being contacted with fake offers of employment (specifically for ‘Virtual Assistant’ positions) from individuals and organizations claiming to represent NewPage Solutions. The NewPage name and logo have been used in documentation without authority. We don’t have Virtual Assistant roles in our organization and request candidates to not to respond to such offers with the said position in the name of our company.
We have also seen instances where a third party is sending out fake job offers and asking candidates to pay an amount as security deposit/pre-employment expenses or other charges, including processing fee and/or tax payable. Please be aware that NewPage does not ask for any money from prospective employees at any stage of the recruitment process (including application, interview meeting, processing, training or any other fees).
NewPage is taking this matter very seriously and is working with law enforcement authorities to prevent people from becoming victims of employment scams. If you receive such a communication from a person impersonating NewPage, please contact us at immediately.
